The Go Go Skirt + Sophia Top: Going to the Go Go!
Hey babettes! This week I’m showing off my new green Go Go Skirt and Sophia Top out and about in New York’s pretty Spring blossoms!
The Go Go Skirt is a pencil skirt that gives a taste of 60s mod with all over print of geometric circles and hearts. It comes with a matching belt that cinches your waist into that perfect hourglass shape. Plus, it’s a machine washable cotton spandex blend which is a big plus since this skirt has white in the pattern. It comes in green/white or black/white!
The Sophia Top is one of Steady’s classic pieces that you can pair with literally anything! It’s a polyester, rayon, spandex blend top with cute cap sleeves and an angular neckline, making it more unique than a basic tee. I’m wearing the Sophia top in white but it comes in almost any color your little heart desires and several patterns too. Check them out HERE!
This outfit was a creative challenge because I usually wear outfits that incorporate black. I am channeling my inner colorful Spring side for this look. I am accessorizing with some colorful plastic bamboo bangles from Slapback in Brooklyn and a mint green atomic kidney shaped broach from Steady.
I am also wearing a pair of black kitten heels from Steve Madden and am carrying a purse from Betsey Johnson.
I also wore my cropped faux leather jacket with this outfit when it got a little chilly walking around The Cloisters.
I incorporated some green to my makeup look by using a MAC loose pigment called True Chartreuse all over my lid. I love how you can pack on tons of color with loose pigments. And white eyeliner in the waterline is a MUST for 60s inspired makeup. I am using Fascinating eyeliner from MAC. On my lips, I’m wearing a Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Bauhau5. It seriously never comes off. I love it!
And I recently tinted my hair a touch of lavender using Overtone conditioner in pastel purple. I highly recommend their colored conditioners for anyone who wants an extra splash of color in their hair this Spring! A word of advice: DO NOT pour this conditioner in your hands and rub it into your hair, if you want even color! Instead, section your hair and apply the conditioner with a color comb then let it sit for a few minutes. I wait like 20 minutes.
Hope this entry brightened up your day and inspired you to incorporate some fun color into your spring wardrobe too!
Enjoy a few tunes to go go dance to in your new Go Go Skirt haha
