Hi, I’m Trina, and I’m one of the new Steady interns!
I’m twenty years old and a Fashion Merchandising major (as well as a bit of a fashion addict). In my spare time I run my own blog, model, and dabble in photography. I’m in love with the 40s and 50s, pin up culture, vintage cars and motorcycles, and vintage-inspired fashion. With interests like these, I couldn’t think of a better place to intern at than Steady!
I started my first official day at Steady on May 26 and at first, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had never interned anywhere before and I really wasn’t looking to be the coffee intern. Lucky for me, I have yet to bring anyone coffee. I got to work with all of the samples for the current season on my first day (super exciting!) and become familiar with the current line.
One of the biggest highlights so far has been shooting the Fall catalog. I was able to assist in styling looks for the catalog and participate in a professional photo shoot. It was really cool being behind the scenes of a photo shoot and being able to see the Fall collection before anyone else.
Currently, I assist in running the Instagram on Tuesdays (I hope you’re enjoying the car photos!) and, as of today, contribute to the Steady intern blog on top of my regular intern duties. I’ve even been able to go to some events such as Ink and Iron to represent and help sell merchandise for Steady.
Everyone here has been super nice and very helpful and since everything is made here in-house, I have been able to meet everyone and see the entire process from designing a garment, to creating it, to shipping out online orders.
I’m so glad I’m able to intern with Steady and I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated.
