DIVA SWING DRESS: Divas Keep Swingin
Hey pimps n pinups! Did ya miss me? This Cali girl has been trying to survive her first winter on the East Coast. But I braved the chilly snow and posed for a few pictures in Steady’s Diva Swing Dress.
I am wearing the Diva Swing Dress in teal but it comes in black too. This dress features the same flattering neckline as Steady’s best-selling Diva dress but with a flared swing skirt instead of a tight wiggle skirt! This dress has black piping along the neckline and hem. This rayon, nylon and spandex blend dress is made in the US of A. And it’s machine washable!
This little number would be is great for St. Patricks Day next week, as teal is a shade of green! You wouldn’t want to get pinched, afterall.
I wore the Diva Swing Dress with several layers to stay warm. I wore a knit houndstooth cape with a mint green boomerang shaped brooch from Match Accessories which can be found on the Steady site here. This adorable brooch looks just like the confetti lucite pins worn in days gone by.
I rocked some houndstooth wedges to match my knit cape with some backseam nylons.I also layered a sheer black cardigan under my cape and some black satin gloves. I topped it off with my black vintage pillbox hat!
HAIR N MAKEUP:
I’ve been wearing lots of hats in the winter which means I can’t do many pin up styles with my hair. I really want a face framing fringe, however I am not willing to cut my Betty bangs again as it took me about a year of awkwardness growing them out. SO! I found this wonderful invention called clip-in bangs. I am wearing my bangs that I ordered from Classy Rebel. I ordered the platinum deluxe bangs and rebleached and retoned them to match my hair. I did some custom trimming too. But now I feel a lot cuter in my winter hats!
To tie in the teal on my dress I lightly brushed some greenish eyeshadow, like Humid by MAC, over my liquid liner. I also chose a purple maroon lip with Darkside lipstick and Nightmoth liner from MAC.
Hope I helped inspire some of you to layer up but still be fabulous! Til next time…
