STEADY CLOTHING PARTNERS WITH EMILY THE STRANGE
New kids line, Emiwee, set to debut at MAGIC

Steady Clothing is proud to announce an exciting new collection based on the dark, yet lovable character, Emily the Strange. Steady will be adding its edgy and fun styles to the Emily the Strange kids line, and will also launch Emiwee, a new pint-size character who’ll grace the clothing of cool tots all over the world. In a market dominated by Disney and Looney Toons characters, Emiwee stands out as the perfect blend of attitude and cuteness.

Inspired by the success of the Emily the Strange brand, Emiwee designs are cute, fun and full of spirit, with simple, clean and fresh graphics. Looking like a younger version of the more grown-up Emily, Emiwee lives in a world of rounder corners, but she’s still got that edge.

Some of Emiwee’s catchphrases include “I Heart Monsters,” “I Heart My Mummy,” “Wee Will Rock You,” and “I Don’t Wanna Hold Your Hand.” She is typically accompanied by her cats, and wherever Emiwee goes, Trouble follows…Trouble is one of those kitties. While mainly targeted to girls, the Emiwee line includes characters that will appeal to boys, too -- Emiwee’s monster buddies and band mates.

Emily creator Rob Reger said, “We’ve sensed the need for something more hip in the infants’ and children’s clothing market. Since we’ve been around for 15 years, many of Emily’s fans are now parents. So those parent fans who appreciate Emily’s rock-n-roll presence will love this incarnation we’ve created specifically for the little ones. Plus, kids love characters with attitude…we’ve been able to combine that with enough charm to make Emiwee palatable for both children and adults.”

The Emiwee clothing line features onesies, hoodies, T-shirts, bibs, dresses, beanies, scarves and more. Sizes are infant to 24 months; toddlers’ 2 to 4T; girls’ 4 to 6X; and boys’ 4 to 7.

Steady will launch the Emily the Strange kids line and Emiwee during the MAGIC show in Las Vegas, from August 25 – August 27, 2008.
